The Students Association of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses is preparing a series of events for students who will be attending the upcoming 34th annual conference of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses. The conference, on the theme “Hispanic Nurses Creating Pathways to Reduce Health Disparities,” will be held from July 21st to 24th, 2009, at the Crown Plaza River-Walk Hotel in San Antonio, Texas.
We will be offering a range of activities throughout the conference to ensure that your attendance is filled with knowledge, experience, and fun!
Some of the activities being planned include:
1. Tuesday, 7/21 – 10 am-4 pm.
“Students Conference Day” & “NCLEX Test Taking Strategies Workshop” with Ms Lydia Lopez, RN, MSN.. (This workshop has been rated with 99% passing rate.) Room TBA.
2. Wednesday, 7/22 – 4-6 pm.
Student Networking Happy Hour.
At the Manhattan Café located at 110 Soledad. Open to all students.
3. Thursday, 7/23 – 12 noon.
Student Luncheon. Room TBA. Open to registered students.
4. Thursday, 7/23 – 3-5 pm.
Visit to Nursing & Allied Health Building, San Antonio College.
5. Friday, 7/24 – 9am-12 pm.
Walking-Talking Tour to historic San Antonio & The River Walk.
6. Time and Place TBA.
Business Meeting. Open to Student Association members only.
